New to the Z4 world

I've just bought my first Z4 having been through 5 MX5s (and a Saab and Audi convertible along the way too).
I'm based in Essex, UK, and I've just picked up an e89 28i Sport Auto

This is a great bunch of people with some who actually know what they are talking about (not me yet!) and mostly friendly too (there is the resident grumpy so and so but he stays mostly ).

Similar ownership path to me with the MX5 and Saab 9-3.

Nice choice with the 28i auto. By all accounts it is a brilliant drive - and not very common at all.

You will be asked for pictures i am sure.

Nice what engine did it have - I had a facelift 1.9 TiD automatic in Steel Grey and also a pre-facift 2.0T AERO in Parchment Silver

Hi - Welcome to the forum. I have just recently bought my first Z4 and joined the forum. I have posted a few questions and can confirm this is a great source of knowledge on these cars and everyone has been super helpful.

I also had a couple of MX5s. Great wee cars - I had a mint Mk1 1990 car which was a jap import - I kept it for 19 years. I also had a Mk 2.5 which I raced in hillclimbs and sprints - great fun track car! The Mk1 I only parted with to buy a Morgan Plus 4 which I sold just before buying the Z.
