Hi there! New to this forum!

Just bought a z4 coupe (07) in grey on low milage, very happy but was just wandering what my options are not for audio.

The car has a "business" stereo and already has a "standard iPhone cable", not sure how true this is, it sits in the glove box and accommodates iPod 4 style plug.

There is no cd changer, Bluetooth and I have an iPhone 5.

What's my options if I'd like to add some of these?
How much are some of these options likely to cost me?
Can I have more than one of these options fitted or would it be as case of any of the above being one or the others ?
Where can I get some of these options from?
Is it plug and play?

My future plans for the car is to fit a very subtle lamin x that I have used on previous cars to the headlights, just takes the edge off of all of that silver and won't effect performance.

Thanks

Ryan

Hi and welcome aboard
Sorry can't help with any info about your Zed (cause I know feck all about E86's) but I'm sure someone will be along to help :)

You should be able to get an adapter to plug your iphone into the existing interface. Assuming it's either a dension or the BMW interface you can't have a CD changer connected at the same time.

Dension do some some kits with built in BT as well http://www.dension.com/downloads/car-compatibility. These should then work with the steering wheel controls.

Thanks for your help so far.
Have a few more questions.

Looks at though I can get the
Gateway lite
Gateway lite BT
iGateway

Are all of these plug and play?
Simple installation?
How long is it likely to take?
Pros and cons?
What do you guys have?
What's the difference between "text" and "non text"?

Thanks guys

The differences between the three are shown on the functionality chart. Yes all plug and play. The text thing displays the track/artist name on the head unit.

Do you have nav and DSP?

Top level hifi. Very rare without nav though.

Denison or even parrot kit is your best bet then.

I personally wouldn't bother with the parrot gear, stick with a solution that uses your factory amp (i.e. Dension/Dice kits)

I'm not a fan of them either with there superset amp and so on, but others seem to like them.
