Hi there! I am new to the forum, but not new to BMW’s. I recently purchased a ‘06 3.0si with manual transmission. It had 60k miles and seemed in very good shape. I am in the process of changing the front struts and sway bar links. Going with Bilstein B6’s. The car had some “mushrooming” on the passenger strut tower. I hammered flat with a 4lb hammer and a block of oak. I got new top mounts and the reinforcement plates. After I install these parts, I will take it to my mechanic buddy and get an alignment. May have to do the control arms and bushings. I think the prior owner hit a pothole and, due to the struts being shot; the tire probably slapped the top of the wheelwell and bent the strut mount and shroomed the tower.

Sure do. Here are some:

I put my bmw 19” 624m rims on for these pictures while I cleaned up the 108, which were corroding on the inner section.

The 624’s are much lighter and the difference in acceleration is significant. They are summer tires though, so the 108’s are back on now.
