Just a post to say "Hi" to everyone.
I picked up my first Z4 this weekend - an imaculate 2003 3.0 manual with 109k miles. Paid £3,800.
Really pleased with it. Spent Sunday driving in the Cotswolds, roof down in the sun. And wow, it really shifts in sports mode, taking it up to the red line. Had the biggest grin on my face all day.

Slight negative though, in that DSC & handbrake amber warning lights came on and are now on permanently - in only my second day of ownership. I've now ordered a K-line cable & software from bcables.com to see if this will pinpoint the problem. Right thing?
And now as I write this, the alarm has gone off on the Z4, so just been outside to unlock/lock car. Nothing obvious. Hope this isn't the sign of things to come!!! Car was fine when I viewed and the 3 hour drive home on Saturday.

Welcome to the forum!

Sounds like some plus points and minuses - overall a Z4 should be positive!

Mine certainly has been a great experience - hope yours is too! :driving:

Enjoy :driving:

A good shout by Mr wilks regarding bonnet switch also tired old battery can start throwing all sorts of elec gremlins up

Welcome, Mr Wilks and mark plant have good suggestions regarding your electrical gremlins (definitely worth looking at the battery). Also a code reader is a good investment
