Good Evening from Rainy Athens!
After an 8 month search finally purchased my E89 23I.
55k miles on the clock Alpine white with all the goodies, Sat ~Nav, sport seats, auto tranny and all servicing in the mail dealer in Greece. Got it from a 55 year old lady which happened to be a very close friend with my boss!
As I am new to the Z4 world ( coming from Jeeps) have some quick questions which I m sure have already been answered, but anyway, here goes
1. Is the auto tranny reliable? I owned an X5 4.4 2002 built and the tranny blew, 4k repairs. Any preventive maintenance needed?
2. The car says that the next oil change is due in 20k km ( roughly 15k miles). Last change was 6k miles ago, should i change the oil and filter again?
3. First day I got it I parked outside my home nose down which is about 15 deg incline. The next morning I hear a "BOING" and a " add a quart oil" message appeared! When I call the previous owner she said not to worry as this happens when parked nose down on a steep road. Turning off and on the car the reading went back to normal. After a little google research found this to true, can someone reconfirm this?
Any reply is welcomed!!
