New (to me) Z4 Si SE Coupe

This is my new car. After 7 years of happy Morgan 4/4 motoring, my wife's reluctance to travel in a fast version of a 60+ year-old design has finally persuaded me to swap to a more modern one. The problem was to some extent exacerbated by our advancing years, and complicated by the difficulty of flogging a 7 year-old Moggy with 18,000 miles on the clock.

Fortunately Mole Valley Motors are Morgan dealers and always happy to take on in p-ex. So I now have a 2007 motor with one lady owner and 8000 on the clock.

Very nice, and such a change from the Morgan. Even got a few months left on the warranty. I am so delighted with it that I have even got a personalised reg which is Y24 [MyInitials]. I fear I may be taken for a bit of a cock. :!: :!: :!:

Hmm, it seems my links for the pics are not working. I'm not sure I have readily available pics of the late lamented Mog. I shall have to have a rummage around for them. I am located in Surrey, not far from Guildford.

Welcome  remember getting in and out of a Morgan a few years back not easy when your 6ft

What model, and was the roof up? In and out of a 4/4 with the roof up is a great test of strength and flexibility.

Think it was what you call a +8 is that wright ? it was the V8 was at Earls Court motor show (as i said a few years back ) remember having to slide my legs down into the tunnel and thinking i would not like to try and get out of here in a hurry.

The roof was down would have been a challange had it been up

Plus 8=Big Go-kart + Neanderthal V8. They had to stop making the engine as they couldn't make it conform to US emissions regulations. I had a drive in one when I bought the 4/4. Slightly bigger than the 4/4 and just so much power. I came to a T-junction with lights and decided to give it the gun when I pulled away turning right. The salesman in the passenger seat said, "Yes sir, a limited slip differential comes as standard." :D

 8) I'm a Worcestershire lad, know Morgans pretty well and borrowed a nice red +4 for a bit. But the wonderful Rover V8 is one of my favourite pieces of engineering in all its applications.

Surely though, the 260bhp 3.0Si is pretty similar to the +8 in a few senses.. similar power, more weight, less wood. No LSD tho. 8)
