New to Forum + New Z4 Owner

Ive been reading the forum now for a few months and after ordering my Z4 on the 11th April i picked her up on the 19th May. I want to first say that i have moved over from Audi i previously owned a 10 plate TT S-Line SE and then a 60 plate TTS. I thought at the time that i would never be able to find a better built car/ drive but i was wrong.

Although the TTs are a quality build i have found the Z4 an amazing drive and as equal in build quality. The Z4 has a more interesting shape and of course a true 2 seater with the advantage of a convertible hard top.

The biggest thing from my point of view was the ordering system and waiting times. My TTS from Audi was ordered in August 2010 and was delivered in January 2011 quite a wait. Also the order was continually being messed up mainly due to mistakes from sales staff. Unlike the ordering system of BMW where as you all know is done via a computer ordering system that will flag up any upgrades that are not compatible. Also when the button is pressed you are given an expected build/delivery time. Unlike Audi where you have to wait at least 4 weeks before build to get a confirmed delivery date.

Then we come to an amazing 5 weeks delivery time from BMW.

So i have now taken delivery of a

Space Grey
Coral Red Kansas Leather
Elec Folding mirrors
Wind Deflector
Carbon Aluminium Interior Trim
Rain Sensor With Auto Headlight
Internet
Usb Audio Interface
Telephone Usb Audio Interface
Navigation /BMW Connected Drive etc.
Also Added A Stubby Ariel
Boot Liner

When I ordered my 23i M Sport last year, I really want to add sat nav, but it was too expensive. BMW only had complimentary specification upgrades at that time. I chose connectivity package and loudspeaker system.
 
Love the colour scheme.. with the black grill :thumbsup:

But why change from the TTS so soon? Unless you kept that aswell? in terms of performance i would have thought the TT would have been faster.

Thanks for the welcome.
I had the TTS less than 5 months...I ordered it with loads of extras sat nav 19" RS6 wheels etc and the S Tronic gear box.Big mistake should have gone manual.
But i had lots of issues with the dealer mistakes they made on the order,wrong info given and problems through to delivery and beyond so in the end i didnt want another Audi.
The last pic was actually taken at the dealers although i should take pics of the garage.
The previous owner of the house was a pole dancer and converted the garage into a studio although the pole has long since gone two walls of the garage are mirrored which makes backing in easy LOL.
