Hi all

Just realised this should have been the first place I posted since joining the forum.

I've had a 2003 2.5i since 2007, but in the last few years it's barely been driven and has collected a number of issues.

Recent fixes have been:
Service
New pads and discs all round
New calipers to front
Refurbed alloys

Work to be done:
Fix erratic steering issue
Fix bonnet latch
Loose rod on boot
Paint calipers
Fix roof
Full respray

I'm in Taplow, which is near Maidenhead, so if anyone knows of any good indies in the local area (Slough, Windsor, High Wycombe, Marlow), please let me know.

And, any roof experts around here??

Look forward to hearing from everyone. And, hopefully (but unlikely), I may have something useful to share.

Boswer134 is fairly local to you (Hook, Hampshire) and he’s renowned for fixing roofs. BMW trained and now runs his own indie so may be able to help with some other stuff.

Wow - 13 years is impressive, I've never managed more than half of that!

Anyway welcome to the forum.

Another recommendation for Ross (Bowser134 on here) for anything mechanical - here's a link to his business website:- https://www.rbmhampshire.co.uk/

He's done a few jobs on my M Coupe including an Inspection 2 service, and last month replaced the rear shocks on my 3 Series.

Thanks, both!

My wife has now tired of telling me to sell it so that's a positive. :headbang:

I'm basically just hanging on until my cousin is 21 and will then see whether I can insure him on it and hand over the keys. But, I want everything to be working before doing that.

Hi and welcome ,is there is there no internet in Taplow, you are the lost sole bmw have been looking for. :D

Welcome to the forum, not far away in Stokenchurch, Bowser is the man for your roof.
What is going on with the steering ?

I'm now booked in (next week) with Ross for the roof. That's going to be a big change. My wife and daughter have never experienced the car with the hood down!

The steering seemed better the last couple of times, so it might just be a lack of use. I'll keep watching it, and driving slowly. :driving:
