New to BMW

Good morning people,

Have just put a deposit down on an 05 BMW Z4 3.0i, and I must say, WHAT A CAR!

Have owned Renaultsports for the last 4 cars - 172 Cup, 197, 200, Megane R26 230, but the long test drive blew these out of the water! Firstly, the noise, what a fantastic noise! The ride is very nice ( No run flats ) rear wheel drive is different/better, but takes some getting used to after years of FWD, and the roof is obviously very nice ( surprised how quick it retracts ) Spec as far as I can tell - Maldives Blue, Black hood, Eliptic wheels? Heated seats, wind deflector, Cream leather memory, Bluetooth, upgraded stereo, reverse parking sensors.

Overall a fantastic place to be and the best decision I've made in a while. Bring on the summer, so I can have the roof down with a straight six soundtrack.

Thanks for looking guys/girl.

Looks like a fantastic forum.

Many thanks for the welcomes.

I pick the car up Tuesday, so I'll have plenty of pictures then.

Ewazix - Tell me about it, when we took the car out for the test drive it was glorious, but knowing our summer, you could well be right!

:headbang:

Thanks again.

Many thanks.

The colour is nice I must admit, especially gleaming in the sun and I expect it to be easy to look after and maintain?!

Can I ask; what is this 'stubby' some of you refer to in your signatures? Ariel?

Cheers

Stubby is indeed the Ariel or rather a short Ariel hence stubby welcome abord a stubby is just the start now post some pics...

Wow. Thanks for all the kind replys.

If my memory serves me right, I think the car already has a Stubby ariel!?

Have already had a gander on Ebay for Z4M wheels, or is it frowned upon unless you own an M?

Also, I've heard that the roof can be controlled from the keyfob, or is this an old wifes tale?

Thanks all

I reckon Z4M wheels are fine. Would be a different story if you were planning to put ///M badges all over your car.

However, that said, it's your car... You pays yer money, you takes your choice. You choose sir, you choose :) :driving:
