looks much better, i bought the first stubby when i got the car but having read several threads on here i realised i had the wrong one, it's probably not wise having a solid metal spike attatched to your car, the new one is much shorter and has a little give. and yes i know the car needs a clean, that's on the to do list tomorrow. :)

Bloody hell fella, mines deep deep cleaned inside and out, paint waxed, back to blacked, scratch X, seats gliptoned, engine bay, seals etc every week :P
i must admit car cleaning isn't my favourite pastime :( but to be fair i live in an apartment with no access to outside taps or power supplies, i don't trust those hand car wash places, although my wife does :o the only chance i get is when i go and see my mum, then she makes me do hers as well :( we are planning to move to a house this year so i'll have to invest in some serious cleaning products.

Ace i shal be purchasing that

Good lad may i suggest Maguiars for cleaning and maintaining, not cheap but a must buy in my mind, most products on there are great![/quote]
i was in Halfrauds the other day having a mooch for a cd player for my daughters car, i did go and look at the cleaning products, there's loads of choice :o a mate at work said he picked up a clay bar kit for £9.99 from there, that was Maguiars so i'm going to go back in tomorrow and have a look.

Oh balls - I just spent £24.90 on a genuine BMW one that's much bigger :x

Bummer! I saw them but wasn't going to pay that price.

Do they really just screw in?

I've got a stubby but never really looked at how it fits.

Reception is terrible so was thinking of getting something myself.....

Yeah just unscrew the old and screw in the new. My reception can be a bit iffy but I've got an alpine head unit and the adaptor for the Aerial lead is a bit naff. IIRC the main aerial is in the rear bumper. The one on the rear wing is either a booster or for AM but can't be sure.
