What is the torque rating for re-tightening the strut nuts? I have a strut bar in my future and I want to be as prepared as can be...hehe. :D
 
Well, I have not gotten the hardware from the BMW/Dinan dealer that was promised, so I have no idea. Guess I should drop them a note/call and find out what is going on, and as soon as I get the info, I will let you know. Unless someone else has the answer?? :idunno:

Finally, got around to calling in my marker with my wife (she got a new cat several months back), now I have a new BMW Strut Tower Brace. I had issues with this product's price at first: retail is $455.00 plus tax. I've seen them on eBay for around $370 including S&H but couldn't pull the trigger as I still thought the price a bit dear. Well, I cut a deal with my dealer and got it at a deep discount. Now I got it and after looking it over I realize that this is one helluva high quality BMW accessory, extremely high quality. I am impressed! Handling feels crisper and more connected, no doubt about the benefits of adding this product. Next are sway bar upgrades!

It took longer than expected to work out the deal with my dealer's Parts Dept. Can you say $100 less than what you paid for you Dinan? That's is what I waited for. :)

Strut bars and sway bars are usually one of the most noticable upgrades you can do on any car. Especially so with this car since the engine bay is so long.

Ask you dealer if he can set up a group buy for the rest of us!

Unfortunately, this was a one time deal for them and myself. They owed me and I called in the marker.
 
If I wouldn't have done it at HC, then I never would have been able to do it, without consulting the other half first :wink:
