New storm motorwerks gearknob + zeckenhausen CDV

It is the absolute sex to look and and more importantly to use! :driving:

I realised this little gem of a specialist is located about 10-15 minutes from my house! So I gave Bilal a call this morning and headed down. :)

530g milled from a stainless steel billet and the dark gunmetal effect looks totally sexual

Also had my CDV replaced by a Zeckenhausen and the difference is night and day, just whack it in gear, clutch up and off you f**k! :D

It's almost as good as an S2k gearchange now :-)

I just had some new mats with red piping turn up aswell... so the car has been treated to new aero wipers, a new gearknob, CDV and mats in one morning! Talk about spoilt! :P

No seriously though, I very much recommend this combo, the shift feel is now absolutely superb.

I know some have commented that the CDV removal doesnt make a huge amount of difference however I think this is highly dependant on your driving style and how precise you are with the whole clutch motion, to me there is an absolutely massive difference with it removed. :)

I have a storm gearknob in the same colour but no engravings on it, have to agree the weighting makes all the differance

I totally agree/the zerkhsn cdv works a treat :D

How much was the gearknob,if u dont mind me asking/thinking of getting 1?
looks great

I think it's normally £65 for a plain one but in that titanium-look finish with the ///M engraving I paid £91 :)

Thanks for the comments, if anyone orders one please let Bilal know I gave him a big thumbs up on this forum! 8)

Love that gearlever, just a thought, when you leave it in the sun, place a duster/cloth over it else you won't be able to touch it when you drive off.Experience from an ally one I once had, burnt my hand numerous times until I learnt.

Haha, yes I have had a few, nothing a shady spot wont fix!

I went to load up my CD changer a little while ago and turned her over... just could not resist, ended up going for a half hour blat swapping cogs as if I was earning comission on it! :D

I love my car now. :)

veeerrrry nice...
Anyone know how this knob compares to a ZHP? which feels nicer/better?

Think a nice shiny storm motorwerks gearknob might be in my future

I have tried a zhp... while the positioning is better it does little for the notchiness due to the same hollow feeling of the knob and of course the weight... The storm jobbie weighs over half a kilogram! This definitely reduces notchiness and the throw has less resistance. 8)
