Hi guys has anyone fitted a single din android unit that has a fixed screen centred on the unit itself? Just to make it clear the screen does not slide out and go up and fully cover the centre vents but is fixed in place?

Radio size shows as 50mm which is single din hight, also states ISO 1 DIN size in the installation type. I'd say it would fit, looks like there is a "step" between the screen and the unit. Should clear the vents.
 
Although looking at the installation brackets does make me wonder if it is designed for double dins or if they are just there in case you have a double din??
 
Yes it’s been done, and recently on here.

As above though, that unit seems to have a double din facia.
 
It's a double din screen size with a single din back. I was wondering what it would look like with the gap between the dash and the back of the screen. I'm doubting it now due to security issues as it seems to always be on show.
 
Yes, if you look at it, the unit is single DIN, but the faceplate that the screen mounts to is a double DIN size. So, to me, the unit will neither fit or be suitable for a Z4.
 
Ah I see what you mean, the unit sits 20 odd mm from the dash opening which does leave a gap, which I don't think will look too good. The screen backplate sits against the dash not actually in the din slot.
