Starting my search for a si coupe. Been reading all the chat of what to look for. Seems common that lowest mileage is not always best. Looking to pay 10-12k max really as want a nice example.

Everyday day car is an EV, company car. Which is great, don’t grill me! But long for some old school fun.

We shall see how it goes.

Welcome to the forum Jon.

FWIW they are all Si, but there were SE and Sport models which have differences. Sport have the very desirable M-Sport seats, M-Sport suspension (lower and stiffer), M-Sport steering wheel and an anthracite headlining.

Mileage doesn't seem to be an issue. Someone on here recently posted about reaching 200K miles and someone replied saying his had done 193K. On another forum someone has a 330i with the same N52 engine that has done 400K!

So history and condition are much more important than mileage IMHO. Anyway good luck finding the right one. πŸ‘

In that case it might be useful to know that BMW were a bit mean with the standard spec. although they all got electric seats with driver's memory.

But Xenons, heated seats, cruise control, cup-holders, rear parking sensors and multi-function steering wheel were all on the options list so it's worth deciding if any of those are "must haves" or just "would like" features. The easiest to retro-fit are cup-holders and cruise control, although BMW are now charging nearly Β£200 for the cruise control stalk. The standard stereo only has 6 speakers so the two 10 speaker upgrades are quite desirable too, Sat Nav not so much given how outdated it is!

Hello and welcome, as this is going to be your fun car, you don't fancy a bit of wind in your hair fun
