Hi folks.
I have just bought this to live alondside the Zed. I have always fancied a 4x4 and especially the 4Runner as opposed to the imported Hi-Lux Surf. Its got a 3.0 TD 4 cylinder engine, which sadly is more thirsty then my 3 litre Zed! You can't beat modern engines!
I am hoping to have a go at some 4x4 driving and Green Laning during the summer, so that should be a laugh, as well as use it on my camping trips.
Enjoy.......

great car! very reliable. in israel we only got a pertrol 4runnner, now thats a drinker !
diesel is great for that kind of car, and good its the 3 liter and not the weak non turbo 2.4 that came in the hi-lux those years.

i`ve been offroad for years now so if you need advice ..:)
here is my off roader (modified 1999 pajero) with my Z :)

Very capable bit of kit. Should make a great 'hauler' for your camping trips and good for light duty off roading and green lanes (if you can find any legal ones left)

If you need any info on UK off roading do let me know. I've been driving and competing at many levels in my 2 Jeeps for well over a decade, UK and all over Europe.

Hi CJ

I am interested in the Green Lane driving but have no skills off-road at all.

I was surprised at how thirsty the 4Runner is. I know its a big old beast with big tyres and a 3 ltr turbo engine, but i always thought when i eventually bought a Diesel, it would be more economical then my Zed, but how wrong could i be!
3 ltr Z4 Coupe.....31mpg average
3 ltr Diesel Toyota.....25mpg average

D'oh!
