New Sportline 8S wheels

Just wanted to share that I got a new set of wheels. I believe I am the first z4 on these set of wheels. Perhaps there are some z4's on here with the older model sportline cs.16 wheels, but I also see many other replicas out there. Personally I think these are the best replicas because they come in at 20lbs!

They are 18x8.5 ET45. I could probably have gotten away with ET32 which they have available but I wasn't sure I wanted to roll my fenders.

As always, a video to suit

Thanks to Jurrian at Modbargains for being able to hook me up with these set of wheels because the CS.16 wheels that I ordered were out of stock.

They do look like a CSL rep wheel..

So... Very nice IMHO..

Get that wing painted to match the rest of the car though ;)

Like the vid, but was abit disappointed to see another set of CSL reps again
They suit the Z just board will them sorry :(

Are there a lot of CSL reps out there that are rotary forged and 20lbs? That was the biggest perk for me, the handling is better now and also for some reason more comfortable. Maybe the new tires are to credit for that though. Most reps I've seen weigh 25lbs or so, and offer no performance benefit compared to stock rims.

That's because 99% of people change their alloys for aesthetics, rather than performance.

It isn't a race car after all.

You don't need a race car to want to improve the cars performance. Why do you think people supercharge/turbo their cars, lower it with coilovers, add sway bars, etc. I just wanted to let people know about these wheels because they offer the CSL look with a performance benefit. That's all, I didn't know it would cause a stir.

Is 20lbs light? Does anyone know what 108s weigh? I like the look of 19" CSL reps but I'm not sure whether to add a load of unnecessary weight for an aesthetic mod.

My original 203 wheels were 26.3lbs in the front and 26.5lbs in the back, so this mod saved me ~25lbs of unsprung weight which is a pretty big deal. Even more than that because I went to 225's in the back, though that I agree is controversial.

I believe the 108s are around 24-25lbs each, so this would be a huge weight savings also.

Thanks for sharing your experience with us and I'm glad you like them - that's what counts most!

Look good and really suit the Zed. I'm looking for some new wheels for mine and it's doing my head in trying to choose which alloys.

 +1

I'm shopping for rims that I can justify the expense after my daughter pot holed and damaged one of the Lorenzo Model 21's I bought from Tire Rack. Unfortunately I haven't been able to locate a replacement
Thanks for sharing
Cheers Bumpy
