Better than the previous pics posted here but not as dramatic as the previous model? I had a 2004 3.2 and think it looks very similar. It will interesting to see how it's dynamics stack up against the E89, it could be close.

There is something about it that I just like! IMO it looks much better than the existing model.

Think they have tried to make it more masculine and a step backwards to the original, I must say that I still prefer v2.0 which doesn't look dated. Would my next car be the SLK, probably not.

What is it about men and 19" alloys, yes some styles are aesthetically better, yours for example, but not that much nicer than 18" and you get: -

1. Inferior ride quality
2. Increased road noise
3. Inferior performance
4. Inferior fuel economy

Just wondering that's all

I think its the case that once you've seen the largest size possible on a car, anything smaller in size... just looks... smaller!

I recently saw a Deep Sea Blue 35i at my work which had 18's but the car looked great, even tho they weren't 19"s I think its just a case of making sure the wheels don't look "lost" in the wheel arches.

It's true

A 204 PS / 368lb ft engine. If they keep the gearing sensible it should shift OK, even though it will sound awful.

The air vents and front grille are so similar to SLS's. When will it arrive in UK?

Like the SLS style dash, hate everything else....but I've never liked Mercs personally

I'm the opposite. It would be Z4, Merc, Boxster for me. Boxter's styling looks so bland and old now! Caymen pulls it off though.

I really like the look of this, the merc interiors are v good, and when they bring out an amg version of this it will be awesome. My dad drove and slk 55 amg on a track and he loved it, there v8s are fantastic engines. TBH i cant say what i like better, z4 or slk but they both have a really nice stylings, i think the z4 looks better in dark colours, whereas the slk looks good in silver.

To be honest, 19's can be a bit of form over function. I'm glad I didn't have them on mine last Saturday! Hit a big pot hole in the road at speed (something in the gutter made me change my line and didn't see it). Big bang inside the car! Checked it all out and everything fine (always sounds worse in the car, especially from the rear wheel), but I may have got a cracked rim if they had been 19's! (more tyre wall on the 18's!).

Saying that, 19's do suit the Z4 well.
