New show wheels....

They're awesome dude, really like the turbine blade look a modern take on the bbs turbofan.

I think the chrome/gold on purple might be a bit too gangster... but on a black Zed would be quite classy

You mean like this... Against my mates compact

I deliberately did gold against the purple to clash though

Makes sense as a show car setup :)

I wouldn't say they're "awful" but they are different to what the religious z4 book reads out. I quite enjoy not being a sheep

You mean you don't fancy a set of CSL reps???? I like it buddy it works on your car they would look bloody silly on a standard looking 4x4 z4

This car is unique in so many ways and I have to say these add to the overall look and got to say looks good too. Just intrigued by the rear wheel sizes, 225 on a 9.5 is some stretch but even then it looks close to the arch. Any problems in this regard?

There's no sittin on the fence with your choices - its either love or hate. I don't love em bud, but I'm sure many will

Cheers, I wanted something different. I usually hate gold wheels but for these it just had to be done so I made an exception

The gold only works because of the (awesome) purple wrap IMO. So aesthetically from that perspective I love the look... Of course I'd never put them on mine... Mainly because it would look shite :D

Funnily enough I saw a scooby yesterday with the standard gold wheels and was wondering what other cars could get away with that... Needless to say, the Z didn't leap to mind

It's quite a small stretch, I wanted it still useable so I can still hoon it head in if I wanted
When aired out the rim sits flush with arch and the sidewall of the tyre sits up against the inside of the arch

Yeah I'm not a fan of gold wheels on even scoobies. The main inspiration for gold wheels on mine was the show and shine sticker in my front screen which is yellow, I thought it worked really well against the purple so it snowballed from there
I have a subtle idea to tie the gold into the purple a little more then it'll be done I think

'Subtle' - didn't realise that word was in your vocabulary
Seriously though, keep pushing the boundaries - it would be boring if everyone had similar tastes

Ha. It still was subtle before the gold wheels, it was just a brighter more interesting colour.
I class massive spoilers, splitters, rocket bunny kits etc as not being subtle.

Fair enough, I guess everything's relative

Awesome Gav

Your personality all over 'em mate, which is what it's all about

As above hit the nail on the head, suits the car perfectly, loud colours and loud wheels that they work (I can't imagine them suiting any other colour of Zed)

Noooo. The chrome ones tie in with the polished dish

Gold BMW Badges......

Nooo  BMW badges should only ever be the original colours!

I agree! Just a guess, and obviously wrong. :P I have colour matched my Calipers and strut braces to the BMW badge blue. Looks great IMO.

Your cars looking great and is definitely different. But thats what showing is about. Would be boring if everyone had the same set up.
