New shift knob

Today we got the new shift knob since the original one was gross...

It took some time to actually find a nice one... I always liked Doug Whalen's knob, but my wife never really liked the idea of a spherical knob... And we both actually like the fell of the BMW knob, we find it very comfortable.
I'm not sure what model this one is for, but it's about 1 inch shorter than the original and it's slightly heavier. It feels like a totally different car: the throw it's shorter, and the gears engage easier: I would have thought a shift knob would have made such a difference. We love it.
Here's some pix indeed.

Hope you like it...

How on earth did the old one get like that? :o I don't think I'd want to change gear with that thing :|

Have you got super sweaty palms? :poke:

mmm, that black "thing" around the first pic implies a bird drives this vehicle.... in that case the marks on the gear shift will be from that stuff birds use... what's it called now??,...moisturizer, I think!

^^^ Looks like a plate to mount a GPS suction cup. I'm curious about that big-assed Harmon Kardon button.

New knob defo looks nice. Quarantine the old one though mate. :o

It's in the trash!!!! ehehehe... Unless somebody wants it for some science experiment...

The hand cream looking thing in the center console is the remote control for the GPS. We got a Harman Kardon GPS-810- system and it's a awsome. Actually I shouldn't call it "a GPS", cuz that's only one of the many feature: it has MP3 player, video player, and bluetooth. It even connects to the phone so you can dial the number from the screen, see your contact list and read email-txts... I think it was $350 on Amazon.
And that remote control is spectacular.
