New seats and interior fitted. Picture heavy

On Saturday I put in a 12 hour shift stripping out my old interior. The black Dakota flat seats, brushed aluminium trim and the cracked rear centre console all removed to make way for my new Champagne nappa M sport seats, piano black centre console and individual leather dash.
Thanks to [ref]GenZed[/ref], for supplying the trim and console and for the support with questions and problem solving. Plus a huge thank you to [ref]Usel[/ref] for helping me find the seats, and advising me on cleaning, buying all the wiring and connections and fitting. After hoovering, wiping, steam cleaning and washing the seats, I decided to use a local professional to re colonise the leather as I didn’t feel confident doing that. So thanks and a recommendation to David Harrison at Car Medic in new Milton for doing a great job at a fair price. I amazed myself by managing to strip, and fit everything myself (with comprehensive instructions from the guys above) and it all worked with nothing broken or blown up!
I’m chuffed to bits with the results, the Z4M seats have always been a favourite and I love the lighter colour with my montego blue. I also love the leather dash and think it works with the blue strips matching the blue exterior. Some pictures below..
Edit. Oh and thanks to Martyn (of ecuworx and supercharged E86MC fame) for the M wheel and for fitting it for me.

The original interior…and new seats before painting…

Wow, that looks absolutely fabulous, the blue accent on the dash really sets it all off. Well done you

That’s very much guys. I’m over the moon with it.
One thing I meant to say is that the seats are slightly lower than the standard seats, despite motors etc. the support is of course much improved and they still seem very comfortable but after a short drive only, the suspension and ride seem slightly firmer due to the reduction in padding I guess. Maybe that’s just placebo.

That looks very nice, the champagne looks strangely familiar

Brightened up the car no end

Congratulations! That looks brilliant. Must be really satisfying to do it all yourself.

Thanks again everyone, yeah really proud of myself that I actually managed it. But I couldn’t have dreamed of doing it without all the forum experts taking the time to explain everything, it’s really amazing to be part of such a great group of friendly helpful enthusiasts.
Merry Christmas.

Yes that's a winning colour combination.

I'm not a fan of black interiors when other colours are available. Thankfully my Montego Blue one had Peral Grey.
