New runflats where from? (3.0 Coupe - in UK)

Hi.
My car has nearly done 25k miles. One of the rears is original and the other replaced after just 3000 miles due to a puncture. The tyres are still quite legal at the moment but I remember paying BMW £240 to replace one tyre earlier this year so am starting to prepare to replace them. Has anyone found anywhere else to get these tyres at a discount? or should I just visit BMW, knowing at least they won`t damage the rims like some crappy tyre place might.

Cheers,

Darren

Darren,

You can always order on the internet and then have them delivered to your chosen fitter and have them done that way.

My fitter (NE of B'ham) does all the top marques and uses a special plastic runner that sits on the tyre keeping the tool off the rims. Still he does have over £100,000 of fitting/balancing kit in the company. Even so he feels he perhaps damaged a rim of mine so simply purchased a new one from BMW for me. Can't say fairer than that. Incedentally he also fits the BMW tyres at our local stealer, so don't believe that BMW are any better than a local guy.

As above most stealers use mobile fitters i know my local stealers do as my friend works there and told me that the fitter would come to my house and fit new tyres.

That is exactly how Best Buy Tyres works... delivered to a fitter you select during ordering, you just pay on line and turn up - nothing further to pay

Thanks all.
Just had a look at Best Buy and the price for the rears is £221.72 each. Earlier in the year I paid £240 for one from BMW after a puncture, so there`s a saving to be had there.
