hi guys

Just had Inspection one (£295 ) and told discs are worn and pads at 4mm so will need to change soon. Don't fancy paying £245 for discs so thinking of doing the job myself. Any recommendations on rotors and pads and any advice from anyone who has already carried this out. I have 2.5 se.

Cheers

It's an easy job to do a mornings work at best, you just need to decide to how much you want spend and whether you want to remain OEM (possibly the cheapest option) or not.

Hi there
Here is a rough price as I have just had new brakes. Disc are about £100 a pair and pads £40 or £50 Rear shoes are about £40 for the h/brake. This was for BMW parts for 3.0. Hope this helps.

Cheers Ian

Fronts or rears
Just done my rears and because I didnt act fast enough the warning light came on and had to replace the low pad sensor. What a pain
Alright once I moved it to a hoist but it was on the flat on stands b4 hand.
I recommend changing out b4 sensor contacts the rotor and you have to replace it.
This applies for front or rear.
My 2 cents worth anyway
