I've tried several forum searches, but have come up empty.

Who has fitted a replacement roof? Mine 9 year old convertible top desperately needs to be replaced. I called my local indy today who quoted me $1,200 (£ 808) for the new GAHH top, PLUS 10 hours' labor. I checked out their website, and saw it listed for $1,129 (£ 760), describing it as "Convertible Top made in Sonnendeck TwillFast RPC Acoustic Canvas. Top is made with a heated glass window (re-use lower rubber attachment)."

Paddy wright, your post is the only one on the Forum mentioning hint essex.

Help! I'd really to get a new top installed this month. Any input is welcome. My current top is beyond saving.
 
The price sounds about right. I contacted the company who done johnny essex's roof and they wanted 850 for black and blue or 950 for red.

I booked my old girl into the shop for a new convertible top on Tuesday. After checking with 3 local shops, the best price I could find for a mid-range (not the most expensive, not the cheapest) top was $1,645 plus tax.

I'm also having the driver's side outer bolster changed (leather cover and foam under) on the seat, as the leather is starting to crack. The foam underneath has given way. $75 more, plus tax.

I can't wait to get underway with the new roof. Now if I can just find a breaker with a center storage console button in tan, she'll be like new again! :driving:
