new Recaro seats fitted.

They are just amazing looking. In fact they are getting me more excited than the louboutin's on TV right now

Wow.. How much were they and where?
Had Recaro's in the Fiat and the were outstanding. I really dislike my current sport M seats.

they looks great, seat heating still works if you have these models.....

i bet the REALLy lift the z4s already lovely looking interior, i love the z4 dash and general ergonomics but it desperately needs some better seats, the stock ones LOOK great but sadly offer zero lateral support..

The Recaro's look great, always been a fan of the brand.

Totally agree regd' the lateral support on the E85 seats Beedub, very disappointing. The lateral supports are adjustable on the E89 which IMO should have been available on all Zed's. Toyota made the MR2 bolsters adjustable from the first SW20 which came out in 1990 so BMW could have done it.

Specifications for the seats below.....

- Backrest Height: 918 mm (36.1 inches)
- Shoulder Width: 517 mm (20.4 inches)
- Seat Width: 511 mm (20.1 inches)
- Seat Cushion Depth: 483 mm (19.0 inches)
- Gross Weight: 33.1 lbs.
- Belt: 3-point

I'm not sure what the weight of the stock seats are on a Z4.

Seats look (and I'm sure feel) fantastic.

Tints are simply awful and imho ruin the look of the car.

Registration is an acquired taste

Did you have any issues wiring them up to the Aubags or Seat sensors OP?

Any issues on fitting?

Thanks

Ash

Had to get a bypass sensor for airbag/ seat occupancy/ seatbelt buzzer,
It senses the seat is occupied so passanger air bag will go off in a crash.
Not sure if it's a good thing or not.
At least the air bag will deploy.
All done with battery off so no codes come up.

They look lovely and must be a big improvement on the nice-looking but lacking lower back support, M Sport seats.

they are Recaro Sportster CS Reclining Sport Seat shown here and cost £915.00 each in leather, plus £149.50 for the fitting kit, plus £72.00 for the sliding runners, so £2473.00 for a pair delivered. :)

Shouldnt be too much of an issue,

Could you list all of the parts you bought for the installation and where you got them from if possible?

It's something i would be interested on doing and if i could get a list of things i need i can start saving the pennys for the bits.

Im guessing you fitted the seats yourself how long did it take?

Thanks

Ash

Fitting the seats took a few hours as had to bolt seats and runners together.
But I put the seats in thinking I could connect the seat belt tensioner in situ,
But this did not work so seats out again,
Also the seat frames were labeled up wrong,
Reversed driver and passenger,
All went in ok in the end,

Still wondering if I might get them put in the ///M and then put the ///M's seats in the roadster, but not sure they're cost effective as I hardly ever go above 40 and the OEM seats are OK at those speeds. 8) :P

About 30kg. So that's around 30kg saved overall - pretty decent.

Ive got qouted from the dutchmain recaro dealer, but with leather they include seatheating... Did you connect that ? As i wantend to use the heating from my old seats. But i could use the recaro heating mats and connect them one way or an other to my oem wirring that would save a lott of work. Do you havethe part nummers for the fitting kit and soliders btw ? :)

Thanks in advance for answering my questions :)
