New project

Been a bit off the forum lately due to shite summer and Cornish wet roads and millions of visitors making it not really z4 conditions. Been buried deep in the garage up to my elbows in air cooled heaven! Picked up an unfinished project ,... A 1973 beetle based Manta Ray beach buggy, bit of a one off as been bonded to floor pan and 2" roll bar / windscreen frames. Really enjoying the fabrication of brackets for steering column mounts, fluid reservoir. Etc engine all cleaned and painted with new tinware , chrome cannons, new carb , and billet ally bits.just bled brakes so steers and stops now. Put new clutch in so have gears shifting. Almost ready for wiring, I have the old beetle loon all labeled, so can use that and cut out what I don't need. Seats fitted and removable pads with upholsterer. Shouldn't be more than a month or so till ready for test. Motor ready to run when carb bolted on and some electrics sorted. Seem to remember seeing a forum member also has or had a buggy on their list of vehicles, anyone ? Will post pics sometime . Hope everyone still enjoying their zeds and getting some miles in.

'The old beetle loon' - is that you :D

Would be great to see pics. Always fancied a similar project but space is at a premium! Sounds like you are making quick progress!
