Another newb saying hello!
I'm Lee from west Yorkshire. Ive been lurking on the forum for a little while now. I've just missed out on an E85 2.5SI in phoenix yellow from Anglia car auctions, I'd joined the forum after finding out that it had a non-working roof, quickly saw how common a problem it is, and how straightforward it is to relocate the motor! Anyways, i was all set to bid on Saturday, the car rolled up to the block, the auctioneer said that the vendor said it had a power steering fault! I couldn't risk driving it 200-odd miles home with potentially no steering, so i bottled it! - it went for 3750. Gutted! Anyways, i'm on the lookout for another one :)

Welcome..check out the for sale section..member "Armscarf" has a very reasonably priced 3.0si that is worth taking a look at  good luck with your search, sounds like you dodged a bullet tbh, power steering issues can be a money pit

Thanks! From my lurking it seems like this is a very friendly and helpful forum. I've tried to PM armscarf, but the message is stuck in my outbox.

Welcome aboard the forum. :) PMs only leave your outbox when the recipient next logs on.

I see Jabber beat me to it.

Hi and welcome aboard Lee.

That one at ACA was a very unusual colour combination, but it sounds like it had some issues - which may explain why it went to auction!

Anyway good luck finding the right one. Cars advertised on here have generally had plenty of TLC lavished on them, so it's a good place to start.
