BEEN LOOKING FOR A CHEAP M RELATED PLATE, JUST BOUGHT k66 upe, something only those in the know would "get" . fittng plates later today, btw bought it from The Private Plate company, best and most helpful I have ever dealt with, professional smooth operation , first class service , give them a try,

personal choice but i prefer a plate that is personal to myself rather than car specific, my plates will be with me forever rather than for the life of the car

My plate has my initials... that way when I sell the car I can keep the plate

Tapatalking...

all different i guess, lot of people think named plates are a bit naff so i prefer something that relates to the car rather than to me. just written down it doesnt look much but on the car its easier to get, plus you have to watch the plate sellers as once they realise what a number can be used for they wack the price up. mc03upe is 1500 quid, 60upe is 5750 so very happy with K66UPE for 270 quid. still trying to get to grips with posting pics as have apple id password probs at the mo so will try to get some pics up. and another good point I dont need to tweak this plate, so its legal too. i had a run in with a killjoy copper last week, i have had m6VED and M9VED on my vans for years tweaked slightly so look like moved, perfectly readable , cameras can recognise them, I know from tickets in london on occasion. most cops leave you be but this one was on a tea break in a lay by in an unmarked bmw estate talking to other officers in a marked car , we pulled in front of them for lunch when a van came into the layby a bit quick, pc wanders down and gives him a right telling off then walks back to my side window and starts banging on about how the plates are illegal , he's seen me before but couldnt turn around and if he sees me again he will send me to court where the last one he sent got a 1000 quid fine, dvla will take back the plates and issue a Q plate and how you cant sell a vehicle with a q plate and end up having to scrap the vehicle. i have no problems with police at all, am law abiding and hard working with several serving and retired police officers as friends, this one was very officious and bullying, his facts were not right either but i know when to zip it so didnt question him and put my mot legal plates back on but hate them, i know some people tweak plates beyond recognition and the law is the law, but this guy,.... he needs to get himself a freakin hobby !!! :headbang: , phew, thats better!!!

Saw a lovely red Audi R8 the other day with the number plate U LOST on. Obviously it was ULO 5T but spaced differently. Made me chuckle :D

Not sure I'd see the number plate and think "hey that says Coupe...very clever" I'd probably think UPE were your initials. Not sure I understand the tenuous word play for number plates, but better than a standard plate in any event in my opinion.
