took a couple of photos of our cars today. I've been playing with an hdr program. lots of fun, creative and over the top things one can do with such programs. the photos were taken with a nikon D5100 w/Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 lens. This lens is so sharp that I can see dust on the photo from my filter that I neglected to clean before hand. OOPS! I realize they may be a little amateurish. But I'm just learning. The photo links to a larger version as I wasn't sure how to downsize it from 4928 x 3264 for the forum.

nice colour and great photos

deka,

do you mean proper size like this?

I like that - a bit video game / NFS, but then I love NFS (well, most of them... )

now tell me who is a clever boy ;)

Really! When I put them in PB I never clicked on anything that said to load them as a smaller pixel photo. I thought they went in as the full sized 4000 x 3000 and would therefore clog up the forums storage. Guess I'll have a go loading the pic of the wife's 328.

Well. I'll be a monkey's uncle. It didn't fill the whole page. At least I learned something today. :smart:

Good start Bigdog :) HDR is a notoriously fickle technique but can yield some great results. Look forward to seeing some more.

BTW - are you running AEB to merge or processing throught the HDR program?

I started with a free program called luminescence, But as it's free and does not have any instructions or hints at all. It's very difficult to use. It does a good job when you get lucky and happen upon the right setting.

So I bought photomatixpro. Much more user friendly. So far I have been running the bracketed photo's through the HDR without any sort of preprocessing.
