Thought I would post pics of my new phone mount. Can't show with phone in the cradle as was using it to take the picture! Phone is an HTC Senasation with Navii Navfree world on it. Using as a Sat Nav and it isn't bad.

I think it look spretty good although not too sure how to route the wires, am going to wire it out of sight, somehow, to the fuse panel using a cigarette socket and a fuse tap. Looking to route either behind display instruments or aluminium fascia althought he second option looks as though it would cut into the wire. Any thoughts on best routing?

Get some thicker 3m numberplate tape, will hold it in place, and not damage it when you remove it.

Not sure how secure the phone will be around corners though.

Personally i would mount it lower down, near the roof controls... Have access to hardware the audio to the aux in too, so the turn by turn can go through the car speakers.

If you are set of putting it there then remove the stereo and vents and hardwore it that way, only one small wore visible at the top.

These are brilliant.

Used one on my old roadster and mounted it on the alu trim to the left of the wheel so I could see it easily. Sticks really well and used the disk part on a cheap plastic phone cover so it could house my iphone and I didnt have to stick anything to it. The bonus is that when the phone isnt in the car it doesnt shout sat nav. Am sure you could wire it up too but I used to just run a charge cable up from the cigarette liter.

Cheers for all the help.

aquazi,
Will definitely try the 3M tape. I woul dmount it lower but will have to look and see if it will still get a GPS signal and where exactly to locate.

inkey$, that looks like a neat solution but I already have bits taking up this space! I know what you mean about being on display so will have a think.
