New owner....

Evening all, just bought a 53plate 3.0 Z4, manual. Seem to have bought a genuine one, older owner last 7 yrs, lots of history, refurbed108's, new Bridgestones.

Really taken with it, just sold a Chimaera and wanted a less expensive toy. So far so good.

Been reading forum for a couple of weeks . Looks like a great forum, looking forward to picking a few brains.

Off to look for a wind deflector....😎

Welcome OP.

Good to hear that an ex-Chim owner is taken with a Z4 - I seem to recall there are a few former TVR owners on here.

Hope you do well with the wind deflector search - but just remember there is no such thing as a photo-police deflector, so get some posted when you stop driving!

Welcome to the forum - older owner last 7 years, good to know. Lets see some pics then, unless you havent taken delivery yet?

So call off the photo police, I think I've added some now😎.

Pleased with the car. Got the wiper park fix to do, but it's cleaned up well for age. Roof is up because it was raining....in case that's another yellow card ,

Based near Lanark , Central Scotland.

Raining in central Scotland, pull the other one. Zed looks really good. That is a fabulous colour.

Hi and welcome.

Thanks for the pics - nice car.

You do realise that Swapping the TVR for the Zed means that the RAC men will no longer be your best friends!

Enjoy :driving:

Welcome and nice looking z4 like the colour enjoy it's SUMMER well sort of  pissing down at the moment :thumbsdown:just need to sort your whippy out now :poke:

Thanks for the photos - great looking Z you have there.

Roof up isn't a problem - mine always is!

Mine is Maldives blue as well, same year. I get so many admiring comments on the colour as it is not the usual black, silver or grey! Really suits the car too.

Thanks for the positive comments, my Chim was very reliable.... fingers crossed the Z4 is as good to me.
Got a suspicion I have the steering issue to fix , AC needs gas or leak fixed, and the clutch delay valve needs deleted. But it feels solid to drive, seems to be plenty healthy horses left from original quota, and I like to tinker and fix stuff so I am a happy boy.

Iain

Hope your Z4 treats you well OP.

But more importantly it is good to find someone who spells their name the right way!

Cheers, Iain.

Nice car, there are not that many Maldives blue,Nosa's was about the only one n the Scottish meets a few years ago.
Hopefully see you at a Scottish forum meet sometime  :driving:

Scottish meet ? I'll need to have a look for details.

AC regassed , steering adjusted , hood reproofed.

Parrot kit to fit next , need to search out the right SOT adaptor.
