Hello too you all. Just picked up a Z4 20i 2005 Roadster from the auction, was going to just resell it for profit but i think i'm going to keep it and sell the E30 i also have. I'm located at the top of the Rhondda valley, so was pleased that after two days in the rain the interior was still dry and not damp, but i am thinking of getting a hard top for it. Just passed it's M.O.T. Hope it's not going to be a money pit, has coverd 60k in miles. One question to ask may sound a bit daft but how do you check the engine oil, have no owners manual and can not find the dip stick? Cheers Terry

Welcome, but you know...
:worthless:

I'm not totally sure, but it sounds like the N46 is like the N52 and is equipped with an electronic level sensor and no dipstick :headbang:
To check the level, engine must be at operating temperature, running, on a level surface. You may be moving or not. Briefly press the right clock button. (Intuitive, isn't it? :headbang: ) The check can take a while, the display shows a little clock icon. It will eventually say OK or Lo. If it's low, add a litre, otherwise you're good to go.

Thank you for that information will have a look tomorrow, problem is over here it has done nothing but rain day after day so have not had a chance to look over it and figure things out. The next bright day we have will take some pictures. Cheers

Welcome to the forum Terry. Pics of your zed and E30 would be great when you get the chance
