Hey all,

I've been wanting a Z4 since they were announced by BMW way back when and there was definitely no going back after I'd seen the short films they made with Clive Owen (particularly Ticker). Anyway, I couldn't afford one, until now :)

I picked it up on Monday, and promptly took my lady on a road trip to the south coast. I have to say, what a superb car! I swapped up from a Mini Cooper S Convertible, which is a lovely car, but the zed's in a totally different league! It's a 2003 3.0i SE, in Merlot Red with black leather and 108s.

I've been reading this forum for a couple of weeks, leading up to picking the zed, so thanks to everyone for all the advice etc you didn't know you were giving me :thumbsup:

I wasn't sure about the colour when I first found the car (I wanted Sterling Grey or Black), but when I saw it I totally fell in love with it... and now every time I see it I fall that little bit deeper!

It's a bit dirty in the pic, so I'm going to have a day of shiny-making tomorrow and will post some more pics :)

It's 10 past 11 (pm) now, and I'm having to really fight the urge to snatch up the keys and go for a quick blast!
 
Congratulations and welcome! That's a really beautiful color. :thumbsup: I can't wait to get my Z4 in a few weeks.

One of my favourite colours and with a great set of wheels.

Did it come with a beige hood?

Nah, black all round... though I've seen a pic of a merlot with beige leather and beige hood and am not sure which I prefer. The beige with wood dash would be nice.
