New Owner

Welcome. Very nice looking car. The dark wheels really set it off. Seeing the spoiler has got me thinking too...

Being on this forum is starting to prove expensive :-/

Please change that avatar, you look like a bellend

Not what your mrs told me..

It was her who commented on how much of a bell-end you look actually :D

I never mentioned any names and you knew I meant you

Please put a different one up, it makes me cringe every time I see it

Aww bless her.. She sounds like such a lovely girl. I'd be so proud if my girlfriend could say words like that!!

The fact you wrote it directly beneath my post was kind of a give a way..

Oh OK then, just because it makes you cringe I will change it.. :slaphead:

Hi Tom the car does look very very good, when you take delivery I would love to see it , I also live in Penrith and drive the blue Z4 you might have seen.

Hi brack1e, its incredible to find someone else on the forum that is from the same town!! and to be fair I'm sure you will hear it coming its such a small place , I'm picking it up a week on saturday so another agonising week! Im afraid I haven't seen your Z is it a roadster or a coupe!?

Daz05, thanks I don't think the oem ZM alloys are BMWs best looking alloys they have ever produced, but I do have plans to put some 19" CSL alloys. But i won't put these on till after christmas as from now until Jan we are guaranteed to have ice and snow so it would have to sit in the garage :(

Hey Tom, welcome to the Cumbrian Coupe club!! You won't see many of them on the road around Penrith and Carlisle.
I saw the car at LLoyds, looks good, don't think you'll be disappointed.
When I was in the market for one, they hadn't stocked any coupes in ages, I bought mine a couple of months ago elsewhere and they've since had 2 or 3.
Hope you have many happy motoring miles in it, and don't forget to wave (Silver Coupe)

Haha thanks! Ye well I did originally have no interest in the car as it has a few miles and is quite old. Also i don't know if you feel the same Lloyds are awful to deal with. But went out for a test drive and fell in love with it and bought it 100% on impulse! ;) but couldn't be happier and can't wait to pick it up. They have had a few in i was originally looking for a 3.0SI they had two lovely black cars one with red leather and one black but i felt they were both overpriced at over 21k for a 2008 model. Lloyds actually couldn't have done any more for me with the deal and the great service this time but I have had awful dealings with them before.

My 320SI (WTCC version) doesn't have VVT so all the valves need manual timing, every time it needs an oil service. Drove it up, they had no idea although I told them what model etc left me waiting in the showroom for 3 hours wouldn't let me have a courtesy car, then told me I would have to take it home because it wasn't cooling down as quickly as expected! I only drove it 20 miles to the place! then they ordered the wrong parts kept the car 3 weeks just for a usual oil and break fluid change, Oh and the end cost £850! Labour for timing etc what a load of cr*p. So when BMW rang me up about the service I slated them and got a £200 reduction + when I was in the market for my first bmw in 2009 they tried to sell me an 2006 E46 50k 320cd with no spec for 18k! I got the newer 2006 E90 320si for 4k cheaper at BMW Reg Vardy Edinburgh. Always top book price and offer sweet FA for yours trade in. But that was 2 years ago and they seem to have stepped up their game.

Picked it up this morning! All I can say is wow! Heading over heartside now to Newcastle to give it a good blast. If you haven't heard of heartside google it, one of the best driving roads in the UK!

Also one small suprise is that the car has the upgraded sound system, but it still seems lacking on the base.. Nm will have a play!

:)
