Hi,

My name is Tom and im 23. Im a graphic designer based in Cumbria, uk. My dad has pushed me into an M craze over the years he had an E46 M3 and the E92 V8 M3 but has moved over to a Carrera S, but i always craved the Z4M. I bought a 320si as my first beemer as it has abit of motorsport pedigree with the hand made engine and being pretty unique but it cost alot to run for the power about 26mpg average (which isnt a problem but for a pokey 4 cylinder it is!) so i took the plunge and bought this one! 12 days and counting until i pick her up! :)!!!

In fact the garage was so desperate to get rid of it they gave me £1000 more than they offered for part x with my 320si they gave me a 2 year warranty for free and they did the inspection 2 also for free. The car is specced to the nines as you would expect although it doesnt have cruise control which is abit of a PITA!! The car already has the BMW carbon fibre spoiler on the back, the window tinted at 35% (I think), the OEM 18" but they have been resprayed with a shadowed black colour which really looks great with the grey colour it is in.

Looks sick and goes like stink! Its a wall poster dream for me!

Thanks! I think it does too! although the previous owner has put some cheap tacky carbon fibre looking BMW badges on it so they will be first to go! then I'm going to get a small arial put on it then I want some 19" Shadow Chrome CSL alloys but get some after the winter months! Cumbria is treacherous in 4x4s let alone these things! When I pick up the car I will get some proper pics up! The lines of the car really beg for the attention! :thumbsup:

likewise! they have made the car look really aggressive with the blacked windows :thumbsup:

would quite like to see the CF spoiler (just in case I end up keeping mine :roll: )
 
Welcome Tom,

Looks very 'mean' it also looks lowered too which is a bonus!

I'd get rid of that tacky sparco gearknob and get a ZHP on there too ;)
 
Thank you very much! Mean is a word Ive heard a lot and definitely agree!! Ye the garage has replaced the horrid gear nob with a stubby M sport illuminated one. Not the tall M style one, feels a lot more natural in hand, and I prefer the stubby! But believe it or not the gear nob was an AC schnitzer, but still wasnt very nice. I also thought it had been lowered so asked to dealer to check it out, as i want some 19" CSLs on it asap, the mechanic doesn't recon it has been... although I have my suspicions it has! Any idea if there is a way to find out? apart from measure the distance from floor to wheel arch?

When I get the car I will take some pics for you, one of the many reasons I got the car, the spoiler and the window tinting would have set me back another 600-800 which I wanted to do anyway.

Thats the link from the BMW website, im guessing the price from a dealer with fitting will be around £320-350. But looks great the fins on either side look really nice. Definitely adds to the look of the vehicle, although certain colours look better than others with the CF.

600-800???? how much do you get charged for tinting?????
 
Yeah i'd say its been lowered mate, it looks a lot lower than most of the OEM Z4MC's on here.

At least you'll regain a few quid selling the gearknob as i belive they fetch a pretty penny on ebay ;)
 
Wasn't really sure how much the window tinting was just assumed a good product would cost a few bob! The insurance is £1100, which for my age is pretty good I thought. So went ahead and bought it. Unfortunately the dealership took it off while prepping the vehicle so I wont see it! :x 11 days and counting till pick up :thumbsup:

Don't forget to tell your insurance company if you go for aftermarket tints, as most class them as a modification (due to them 'reducing visibility') :headbang:

Be careful if you do go for 30-35% tint, as the window may already have a 5-10% tint on it, so you'd be falling foul of the 30% limit on front sidewindow tints.
 
Ok I will mention it. I wont be doing any more tint to the car, I meant that what ever MC I got I wanted to tint the windows. This one already has it done and looks good so will leave it as is. Thanks for the advice!

Thanks Lucy, Looks like you have an awesome motor too! I really wanted a black one with red leather seats but couldn't find one! :(
