Hey all.

Just checking in here as I picked up my first Zed this weekend, a pristine black 03 3.0 with the SMG gearbox. I'm hoping to get the wheels replaced with something black preferably BMW (OEM) and also the tires which are the jarring run-flats. Also wanting to get the grille replaced with a black one and oh yeah, I need a wind deflector. Any recommendations? Go easy on me I'm a noob!

Hi and welcome, personally wouldn't get black wheels, think it would be to much. Do the grill though as that does look better. Regarding the wind deflector the oem one is best IMO but not cheap as you will need to replace the roll hoops as well.
 
Welcome, you will have a grin from ear to ear for weeks (even laying in bed!) Shame the seats ain't red though.........I love red seats...matrons bloomers...oh yes!!

Yeah, I read up a little with regard to the wind deflector and saw the general consensus regarding the OEM one. Is it easy to fit? I'm not totally comfortable doing this kind of thing myself but if it's not too hard I might give it a go. I guess I need to see a black zed (same shape as mine etc) with black wheels to be totally sure but I saw a newer one with black BMW badged wheels and it looked awesome IMO...
 
Retrofit OEM wind deflector isnt hard to do, was my first job with my car having negioated it into the deal :D

The interior is that brushed metal kinda look if that's what you meant? Sorry, noob here! :)

Black or shadow chrome referred to the wheels

Cant really damage anything doing the wind deflector, but you will break the exisitng hoop covers getting them off.

You havent got a stubby yet, sorry cant talk to you anymore :poke: :D

D'oh, not really sure I suppose. Do you know anywhere I can look at what is available online re wheels? I'm going to order the wind deflector and do the install myself then, should be fun :tumbleweed:

Ordering a stubby just after I hit submit here ;)

In general, any recommendations where to source these things?
