2 days to go 8) 8) , im assuming you guys all have trackers? my insurance (direct B*stards) insist on one otherwise they wont cover the car for being stolen!! so im booked in 2 hours after i pick the car up to get a tracker monitor installed ;( another £300 later and £120 a year sub.

i suppose it will be safer...
If you have the BMW Assist/Bluetooth option you already have tracking.

Nope....I am on fleet insurance and it doesn't require one. Bell Direct don't either, my M3 didn't have one.

REALLY? I have Bluetooth / Assist, how do you activate tracking? Call BMW to say its nicked?

direct line do :( but to be far DL are the cheapest for me by far and there package is actually quite good cover..

still annoyed that i have to shell out even more, im skint this month now :):)

hey its worth it!

I had to change from Privilege last year 'cos they wanted a tracker on the SLK, but Esure didn't although it was £100 more on the premium, it's still worth it IMHO, but that's for me.

If DL are cheaper for you even after the tracker costs, then it's a no-brainer.

;):):) nearly there, just over 12 hours i will have my new toy....then off to bannings to get a tracker fitted for 3 hours :(.........then...then i get to drive the thing

z4 2.5si sport all clean and cleared out ready for the exchange, see yah ;)

oh and thanks for the advice about trackers and insurance, DL work out at £451 for me and i cannot beat that so its a tracker for me..

wooohoooo

ooh and last thing when did BMW introduce MP3 compatibility in the cd changers? chuffed about this as i currently use mp3 cds in the headunit only on my Z whereas now i will be able to have 7x mp3 cds on tap!! and no need to bugger about with densions or Dice units .

Andy - you should have no problem here, I have a MY06 and play MP3 CDs regularly. If your's is a MY07 or newer then you will get the "line in" jack too, should you wish to plug a player in.

dick lovett in hungerford, i dont think it was listed on the AUC as its was a bmw employees car that came out of it early(sales director and she couldnt get on with it ;) )

love it!

Congrats on the new car! Hope you're already enjoying it as much as I am mine :driving: That's where I got mine a few weeks ago, too. I live in North Wales on the border with England, so it was a good 3+ hour drive home with it: great for getting to grips with the feel of the thing seeing as none of the roads were tricky ones, unlike the test drive route which involved lots of narrow lanes and a lot of oncoming traffic  .

1. What kit did you get?
2. Where are you based in the UK?

Congrats again!

erm kit wise all the usuall gubbings, heated leccy seats, sat nav, erm, changer, nappa leather, BT phone& telematics, auto lights, wipers, pretty much everything except PDC(what i didnt want anyways as i prefer the look without)

and im based in sunny hampshire.

had a few days with it now and really love it, its dirty again so my OCD will kick in and ill have to spend another 5 hours cleaning it but hey its a sacrifice im happy to make.

spent last night updating the nav 2008-01 dvd to include speed cameras, and burning 7 MP3 cds(for the changer and single disc) as im still amazed that even the changer supports MP3 & track names.... i guess i wont be needing to use the AUX input or install a icelink or sorts..

bit of fun with photoshop ;)

Amazing how much you have to squash it before the bonnet starts to look like it's the same length as any other car's
