New owner, seek mods and advise

Hello chaps, I now own a ZMR got the car In may from BMW and have loved every drive! It's Interlagos blue with full spec and sat nav. I've had no problems with the car so far other than a dead battery that BMW changed. I was looking at lowering the car I don't want to goo full out with cool overs and change the full suspension was just looking for some springs has anyone had any issues with the h&r lowering springs ? I'm also looking for an exhaust if anyone's selling one :)
 
I have H&R's fitted on my Z4MR and they have transformed the car...

There is a fair selection of exhausts,rarely do they come up second hand. When they do they are usually gone very quickly!
 
We are talking quality quality beemer m here not a chavs mobile , Bmw Knew what they were doing when they designed the z4m , why change a very very good car and put a whole load of after market leser quality stuff on such an m?
 
Saskia I'm not putting tacky aftermarket bumpers on my car etc.. By mods I mean engine modifications and tasteful modifications like csl wheels black kidney grill.

And I like the sound of the eisenmann exhausts and the Diablo ill probably side towards one of those two :)
 
That makes 4 of us i think who are ///M owners under the age of 25, when we're as old as ppl like Bing etc i guess we will be chatting on the maser/fezza forums :thumbsup:

I know it's awfull lol! I had only been drivin for 2 years though and was a named driver al had 0 no claims bonus, I'm surprised they insured me lol, I'm with bell insurance :)

dont bell fit a tracker though?
2k isnt bad at all in all honesty
 
Woots, I just rang up and payed they haven't fitted a tracker, I think bell is part of admiral and elephant insurance. Oh that's something I wanted to ask do you know in the cars computer where the mpg reading is well there's a speed menu where I can adjust the limit to 186, does this mean my cars been de-restricted it hurtles over 160 ?

Is all after market stuff 'lesser quality' than OEM? Are you listening Beedub?! The things you learn on here...

im reading......... saskia... take a look at these lesser quality parts,......
i can assure you...... your statement may be viable on people that mod in a cheap way... but doing it properly AND really take a pride in the detail???...... well..... lets take a look???

the z4m is a great car out the box but is far from perfect....... a few choice mods with proper quality pieces..... and the car starts to come alive even more...... Of course doing it properly... wasnt cheap.....

OP mod away but dont do it on the cheap, it wont work..... that i do agree on, if your going to do it, save up and do it properly.

Respect Lewis! :thumbsup: I think it's great how hard you have worked to get the car you want at a younger age, I must admit I am 39 & the Zed is more expensive to insure than my old TVR & they are both group 20 & limited to 6k miles a year, the TVR is booked at 185mph the zed calls time at 155mph I am being robbed!!

I suppose nobody nicks tvrs because they know its unlikely they will start or if they do they will break down a mile up the road :rofl:
