Good afternoon,
New owner of a Z4 E85 3.0i 94k miles that needs a bit of TLC having been sat for a few years.
The car has been modified slightly having had the E36 Hydraulic steering rack fitted. Previous owner has straight piped and de-catted it back from the manifold to the rear silencer. I'm looking to get this back to OEM.
The issue I'm having is that after a while and the cars warmed up the EML comes on and the car stutters then cuts out. Its done this when coming to a stop at a junction too. The fan doesn't seem to run and could be a contributory factor. The engine is clean doesn't have any knocks, the DISA doesn't make a noise and there's no oil around the rocker cover Vanos seal. ( All getting replaced for good measure) No apparent vacuum leak.
It appears intermittent and ran for 20mins or more before it happened again.
Luckily my neighbour (Stuart) is a avid Z4 enthusiast and he plugged in the Carly app through the OBD reader.
Fault codes below- I'm aware of the Lambda sensor codes as the exhaust has been decatted so expect to see them until I get some cats. (Let me know if you have anything for sale)

Has anyone dealt with a similar issue?. I suspect the Crank position sensor, or the Cam shaft position sensor. Would the thermostat have an effect on this too?
The connector for the intake CPS around the vanos system was taken off and cleaned but didn't improve.
I appreciate any advice and help
Please direct me to a thread if this has already been answered!
Many thanks
