Hi all,

Just picked this up a week ago. I went with a friend who has owned 2 Z4s and a Z3 and does all the regular maintenance himself. Loving it so far, though a little shocked by how much I'm going to be spending on gas from now on (going from a Honda hah).

Thanks,

Hi and welcome, I just got my Australian mate to decode the picture for me! Very nice, First Zed Ive seen with the same wheels as mine!

Welcome to the forum OP.

Great to put a photo in your first post, even if it is in Antipodean format.

But then you may be in the Southern Hemisphere!

Thanks for the welcome guys,

I've been reading everything I can about my particular model as well as all the specs on the e85 (build, maintenance, performance, mods). Have any of you had trouble with the cooling system or collection of water and debris with the top motor since these seem to be the most common problems? I don't have a garage but im parking in an outside parking spot. I have a soft top cover coming that I've ordered online since there is some rain that comes down in the winter here (Sacramento, CA). Otherwise I'll be babying the f**k out of this car, I'm familiar with doing regular maintainance on cars so I don't think there should be anything too different with the Z (besides the lack of a dipstick.)

Thanks,

T

Also one more thing.. have any of you installed a strut brace that Turner Motorsports or BMW makes? I've felt the chassis pull up a bit when cornering hard and I was wondering if any of you have already installed one of these. Thanks!!!

Hi, there's a few guys here who can relocate the roof motor to the boot without having to remove the roof, when repositioned it won't be damaged by water again.
If you use the search facility it's on here
