Hi all I've just purchased above Z4 red leather not sure what alloys these are maybe m sport? And in need of refurb so not sure to go gloss black on them or just stay original colour or fit different black set ??

Not sure about wheels - I can see the appeal of graphite or black so the brake dust doesn't show!

Nice motor , , if it were me id bite the bullet on the wheels & go for a upgrade :wink:
These would look pretty swish against the white , still look OEM & offer you some black that you are after :thumbsup:

Welcome to the forum. Tidy looking Zed. Not sure about black wheels on a white car. What about gun metal grey.
 
Lovely white E89 you got there. Alloys look a bit fussy - the fewer the spokes the better the look on an E89 imo. If you have to keep em then black could be a good compromise, although a proper refurb could be expensive so figure the cost against a new set like the ones mr wilks pointed to.
 
Hi thanks for reply had cost local full refurb sandblast them and power coat them either standard coulour or gloss black and refit tyres and balance wheels £280 all in
 
If you paint black they will just look like dustbin lids as they are too fussy and you will lose all the detail/spokes.
 
Hi and welcome to the forum and E89 ownership! Your wheels are BMW style 293 18" multi spoke. I had them on my 23i that I sold earlier this year. That car was in Space Grey and I always thought the silver/grey combination looked good. Personally I'd keep them in silver but maybe gun metal grey would work well with your white car - can't say black would be my choice. I hope you are pleased with your new motor, mine never gave me a moments trouble!

Same set up as me. I did briefly consider Black but had them refurbished before I bought them, so Silver they are. I like them, but as always, it's down to personal choice.

Black wheels on any car are a no no for me, but it's your car, not mine,

Nice looking Zed - I like silver wheels but then I did grow up with original alloys like Wolfrace and Minilite . . . . I'm pretty sure if you take a search through the forum you'll find a white Zed with black wheels to compare. :thumbsup:
