New Owner...almost

Having decided to sell my M235i last weekend so that I did not need to keep removing the cobwebs during this Covid time, it sold within the day to a dealer at a good price. It's barely depreciated since I've owned it.

Of course, I then found myself without a car, so I decided to buy the "best value" car that I wanted and it turns out to be an e89 20i.

It is, of course, best value because it has had a bit of a mishap in the past...Having spoken to the Vendor and knowing who they are, I have every confidence that it really was "light damage", and that was fixed to a very high standard.

I've not seen the car in the flesh and it will be delivered sometime next week.

I'm sure that I'll be reporting that my track record of never having bought a bad BMW has contrinued.

Congratulations on the new purchase and welcome to the forum, looking forward to some photos when you get it

Well...it's finally arrived and I'm very pleased.

It's cat S; but from what I've seen so far, it's been fixed to an exceptionaly high standard. Everything is as it should be and it almost looks like it's just rolled out of the showroom.

Looks good, its an SE model with an Msport front bumper by the looks of it.
Has the rear bumper been swapped as well?
A change in wheels though will make it look even better.

I didn't know it was an M-Sport bumber. It had a shunt at the front and was fixed. I guess they fitted an M-Sport bumper...
I don't know about the rear bumber; but here's a pic.
Yes, if I do one thing on this, it will be changing those wheels...

Its a normal SE rear bumper.
It makes sense to have put an Msport bumper on it during the repair as it looks a little better.

That looks great - but then I do love a red interior.

Great low miles and black and red is always a winner. Change of wheels and you’ll have a very smart looking Zed.

Looking very nice 👍 1st thing to change would be the aerial, stubbly all the way :D
Great idea. Much cheaper than changing the wheels.

Hello and welcome

Yes, but it’ll be in addition to changing the wheels. These cars, and this bloody forum, make you spend money you’d never intended doing
