New or used

Busy pricing up cruise control for my 03 3.0i Roadster. Am I best buying new kit to install or second hand from a breakers?

If you can find one secondhand at a good price go for it. Otherwise there about £70ish from a dealers. Not sure as a newbie if your aware but BMW Dealer Sophers in Lincoln offer a forum discount. Not too many around secondhand as the stalk is unique to the zed. At least on your car the wiring is there already so it should be plug and play like it was on mine!

I have had a few quotes for new and second hand some including install too. Going to try my local dealership and see what they quote for the parts. The install does not sound too technical.

It shouldn't be technical at all, just plug and play with your age of car. Breakers is the cheapest but they don't come up often. New is about £100.
To answer your question you'd be better second hand but might be waiting for a long time.

Already got a quote from a breaker called MOPART (UK) LTD of £125 delivered inc VAT which I thought is a bit steep, going to try local BMW garage for a quote too.

If you can work out where it is from DLV's drone post, you will find it. Looks like Marlon's been there too
