Hi all,
I'm 26 from Northampton, i moved here from Hungary in 2009 and currently working as a self employed web-designer and it technician.
I always wanted a Z4 roadster and now its time to have one.
Problem is I'm a new driver and insurance is well over £3k a year.

I have seen some insurance's with some black box, but i have heard from one of my mates that his daughter was
charged 600 odd quid over the premium for bad driving ??
What is your idea about it , any good?

I guess i need to wait another year at least until I get a year on my licence.
Ahhh want one so badddddddddd

Looking to get one around £5K i have seen them around 100K miles is that a lot?

Thanks
Regards
K

Welcome - good luck in finding your zed!

Regarding black box insurance schemes (or is it scams?) IMO they are targeted towards first time drivers in a small engined car, so not suited towards a zed which encourages you to put the foot down. Expect you wouldn't get many reductions for your driving!

markeg, i would go for a box insurance as im not really a speed fan. I had a 900cc hornet for 3 years and never went fast well not that fast anyway. But i have a really good control over myself and if i want something i can reach it.

The thing is i will only buy it to cruise around and have fun with my misses before baby comes :D < 2years>

Even if it would be limited to 60 m/h i would buy it cause i love it

My gf just passed the driving test , and she is 25 , we paid only £900 for the insurance, so you probably looking in the wrong place or love in the wrong area

Hi mate. What car and what insurance company. Was it online quoted or over the phone directly. Cheers

looks like i need to get a s***t car until I get at least 1 year NCB.
I have a full motorcycle licence for last 4 years does that count?
I can get a 2 year NCB from my Hungarian insurance company is that any good?

Another choice is fronting but that is a NONONO.
I can understand why people dive whitout an insurance. maybe forced, cant afford.
Even a 1.4 corsa for me is £2k over. Dont know what to do.
Cheers lads
