Well thanks to Jamie i now have a set of red leather msport seats in my beast!

When i first sat in them i just could not stop smiling, and anyone thinking about doing this, Dont think do it!!! :D

They are not this red in the flesh, and my iphone seems to have gone mad :o

Just need some door cards, which hopefully CJ should be on the case :D

Take about ten mins to fit. But did not disconnect the battery, so airbag lights is on (again!). So another ten quid to sort that tomorrow

The missus hates the red, but i love it next to black and silver. Plus ive banned her from driving it now

def improvement.. although i quite like the black door cards against the red seats; mine should really have come with black inserts on the door cards and not red.

Great improvement having done the exact conversion on a black interior Zed a couple of year back. I ran mine for a month or so, but have to disagree that without some extra flash of red then it looks to an extent as if seats have just been dropped in. Door cards finished it off, then just the red calipers as a concession to it on the outside.

Trick on such things is to not overdo it by adding red bits everywhere like gaiters and armrests.

No sales pitch intended.

No only the door cards will be done, dont want it red all over.

One problem which i should say, is that reading the airbag thread and being told that facelift seats do not work in the pre 2006, as the seat mats are different is quite true from what ive found.

Basically my original seats have a connector from the seat mat, then goes to a little black box, then onto the loom of the seat. The new ones just have one cable from the seat mat to the loom of the seat! So thats why my airbag light is on!

I have retro fitted the cable and box, with a box off ebay which ive had for ages to fool the system to think someone is permanently sat there, but still have to get the system reset as the cable triggered the light.

Will post back so anyone else doing this knows for future :)

and thanks to Jamie this is what it looks like resplendent in new Dream Red door cards :)

I think it finishes the interior

If you eliminate where Mike is pointing you too then the most common issue is rubbing between the side of the squab and the trim panel that holds the seat adjustment buttons.

Wheres the msport steering wheel cj? :poke:

I actually prefer this one. It's a US import with full MFSW and paddle shifts. Made my own set up to operate the Steptronic :)

I did see in your sig you mention about paddle shifts  But have you felt the girth of the msport wheel!
