Just put a deposit on my first M car, an Interlagos blue M Roadster from Vines in Guildford. SO8's old car in fact. Fairly minimal spec, but for me it's total luxury after an Exige with zero extras! Can't wait to pick it up next week.
 
Glad you found something Al. I am still considering going the other way and picking up a VX220 or an Elise... Not sure we can live without the creature comforts though if we do.
 
Let us know how you find the differences, I should be doing the same. It makes a change worrying about if it has satnav etc, when I specced the Exige it was more more about making sure it had 4-point harnesses and no carpet...

Exactly, was the same for me. Searching for a car without aircon!

I've been around the cycle a few times. Sell Elise for being too impractical/uncomfortable, buy old Porsche, sell that because it feels too heavy and cumbersome, buy another Lotus... Not had a comfy, quick roadster though so should be interesting.

I had a 190 Exige and then a 240 Cup before my first Z4MC (NOW Z4MR).

As we are all aware you will never match the Lotus for pure driving fun, but i would always say that the Z4M's are just as fun and very similiar in many ways. More by the fact that you take it by the scruff of the neck if you want some fun, or you can simply relaz and enjoy the drive in comfort.

I am sure you will not be disapointed.

Any good roads or photo spots between Guildford and Bristol? Reasonable detour no problem.
 
I have yet to see a Z4MR in the flesh, so someone better bring one to Pod on the 19th, bring a towel too, as i may be drooling :D
 
Oh just for interest, my mate has just sold his VX220, which was a N/A version but then he put a turbo on it! Was about 300bhp at the end, and one of the only cars i have actually been scared of! Handled like it was literally on rails though!
