thanks for the welcome guys, i don,t think I,ll be spending a fortune on mods . I am now retired and had some 50+ cars from minis to cobras and this more than fills my box for fun, comfort, power, handling and blows my hair (yes I have a full head still !) I just like to cruise about now and with this being auto and paddles if I need them fits in with my X3 auto too. That straight six sounds so smooth I think I have found my final TOY . Looking forward to the wk end and picking her up from the dealer
Wow picked up the new zed today and she drives fabulous, this is the best toy ever and supplied from a First class dealer in bmw used cars BANKS MOTOR COMPANY. a real top man.
now for some fun
Hi philz4, welcome to the Forum ( a few of us retired on here - early retired that is ) You've bought the right car to enjoy and make the most of your new status - mine gets used a lot!
Get to some of the meets - I think you'll get more from the ownership experience.
Got any photos of your Cobra? Always fancied one, in fact I think of my Zed as a more reliable, comfortable and capable Cobra or TVR (I've had a Chimeara for a short while - fabulous noise but couldn't sleep at night with the concern over maintenance  )
I think your right there Paul, I was only saying to the wife I think this is nicer than a cobra even though I spent 18mths designing the full car and building it full time in my engineering shop at the time .he,s a pic of it from 1994 when it was brand new. ( it was my intention to sell and manufacture them ,but it never happened ) then I sold it after a couple of years and took the wife round the world.
nice ride out yesterday round hope/castleton/chatsworth and averaged 30mpg so well pleased compared to one of my past cobras (V12)
which did about 9mpg but then it did have 6 twin choke webbers !!!!.
Indian summer supposed to be coming ,bring it on. but I,m not bothered as I cant believe how warm inside these are with the heater on I may not need my irvin flying jacket
