Hi all,

Just joined the Forum as I got myself a Z4 3.0i for a bit of Summer fun :driving: but will be keeping my Merc S320 for the times that I need the space / comfort.

Possibly one of the oldest members as I passed my 70th birthday a couple of months ago? However, when "her indoors" asks if I'm ever going to grow up I always answer "Yes, one day Dear, but not yet". :D

Had the Z4 remapped today so now has 250BHP and a bit more torque too.

Looking forward to having a lot of fun in the near future. 8)

PS It's a 2003 car with 40,000 miles, full service history, all MoT's from 2006 and some 'extras' such as a Pioneer MVH-8300BT radio with bluetooth, MP3 player, iPod player etc. etc.

Welcome to the Forum - lot's of silver backs in this club!

Need pictures of your new Zed - take your wife out on some of the 'hoons' - she'll love or hate it!

:driving:

I already took her out for a short trip, including Sunday Lunch at a hotel, yesterday and she declared that it wasn't (quite) as scary as Merc SL500 that I had from March 2009 to March 2014 but probably more "noisy"!
She also declined the offer of the spare key as she definitely doesn't want to drive it. Result? 8)

Hi there

Welcome to this great forum and I love the fact that we all grow older but we still have that sense of fun (and never growing up) and owning one of these brilliant cars certainly is fun, and why do any of us want to grow up as that is so dull :)

I got home early from work today and my wife Linda my dog Sprout and myself got the Zed out and drove right up onto the North York Moors and the Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge where we did an hour walk along the old railway then had a beer and a sandwich in the pub

Simple pleasures and the drive there and back in that fab weather with the top down in that stunning 3.0 was just glorious, and of course giving the car some welly where possible what an afternoon, and I am sure you will love yours just as much :)

Welcome to a forum of fun and friendly folk, old and young!

Age is only defined by attitude not insignificant numbers of candles on a cake, (although yours would have to be a big cake :D ) and if you're out buying a 3.0 Z4 to rip around and scare your wife in then you have nothing but admiration from me....17 or 70 it's all the same.

Welcome..... Young man :D

Thanks! Although I'm a Septuagenarian, as Mark Twain said " Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don't mind, it doesn't matter" :D
