Welcome to the forum, you can't beat a blue zed with beige leather. Wait for the M badge boys to start though
Many of us on the forum have classics, I had a yellow Stag back in the day, just love the engine note, your one looks stunning
Where about's are you, I take it not Singapore

What, I read your post with eager anticipation and not a single pic of the X/19 :x :x .
I had a 78 ex-California X/19 - no rust but could get awkward driving LHD on our roads (especially if you wanted to overtake, not that that happened too often with the 1300cc engine). Heaps of fun, but typical Italian electrics  .
Welcome to the Forum

Hi and welcome aboard.

Two great looking cars there - but I'd love to see the Fiat too!

Now where are the badge police when you need them?

Thanks for the welcome, I am from Northolt West London. Grew up and lived in the town of Southall since coming from Singapore in 1970. I also own a Misano Red Audi TT 225hp Quattro. The Fiat X1/9 is yellow coloured. I will post a pic soon......now then, whats all this about badges, They were on the car when I bought it. :) .
The only mod I done so far is the stubby aerial. I am ok wielding a spanner, so any mods you recommend I should do to keep me busy as I have retired from work now (early).
Wont mind a good sounding back box, any recommendations on a reasonably priced one and from where?. The video maker ' itsjoel' done a box delete for £140.00, Anyone know where from. It was a cut and welded back box, sounded good but just a bit loud.

Thanks
Sukhi.

There is a guy on here who used to do them, not sure if he still does. He's called Ducklakeview and is from up north.
I think others have done their own though. Are you up for the next German car and bike meet at the Ace cafe? its the first Monday of the month.
A stubby is a worse sin than M badges on a non M car

Hi, the “backbox delete” does away with the rear silencer completely as it’s name suggests, a cut & welded backbox you mention sounds like a modded box instead :?

Cheers buddy,......it droned too much, so might just leave it. The Z sounds good when floored anyway. Wish it sounded like the Stag though  I believe the Stag sound is partly to do with the parallel pipes which connect the exhaust from the bottom of the manifold, is that correct? If so, would it benefit/possible to have a similar set up?

Parallel pipes.

The 2.5/3litre zed have parallel pipes from the manifolds all the way to the back box, some people have added another backbox on the drivers side to mimic the m cars, you’re halfway there as you have the m badges already :)
Ps, I’ve worked at Northolt station many times when i was employed as a signals engineer by London Underground

Seems the previous owner was keen on an M badge...
I’d have them all straight off, including the BMW seatbelt covers. :poke:

Otherwise, a good looking car with a nice colour combo. :)

Where are you from? Do you attend the Zed meets? Let me know when the next one is if you going to attend, we could meet up and chat. I will come in the Stag perhaps, have a drive in it! You and Wyldie85 been members since 2013, 2014 respectively, must really love your Zeds!
Sukhi.

That brings back memories :) . Used to drive an LWB LRV8 Comms Vehicle during my time in uniform. We moved the spare wheel off the bonnet onto the back - the factory bonnet stay was so utterly flimsy you would have been crushed if it got bumped while working under it. Would probably have been easier just to replace with some hydraulic struts, but when do they ever do anything the easy way in the military
