Hi all,
Ive recently put down a deposit on an E85 Z4 Sport 2.0 finished in titan silver. On the face of it the car appears to have been well maintained and in good all round condition.
I have a question about the passenger air bag status light on the centre console (next to the gear stick where the sport button is on the better equipped models). Im sure that when I first started the car this was illuminated and switched off after a little while - possibly coinciding with the passenger sitting down - is this normal? Unfortunately I don't know if the air bag key switch was set to on or off during my test drive (forgot to ask).
From what I understand from the owners manual the light should be on when the passenger air bag is deactivated, otherwise it should be off including when the seat is empty.
There was no red "air bag" light on the dashboard (part from a couple of seconds when first started up). Hopefully just a bit of reassurance that this is normal required.
Thanks for any input!
