Hi All,

New to the forum, just purchased a 2004 3.0 SE with 35k in black.

Will post some photo's when I get around to taking some but in the meantime have a quick question... does anyone know the best place to buy a wind deflector and fitting kit as it's missing from mine. I would prefer a good secondhand one but don't mind new if they don't cost the earth.

Thanks
Steve

Hi & welcome. Low mileage for a 2004 model! Nice work!

Sorry, can't help with the wind-deflector though.

Hi and welcome. The kit ew is a couple of hundred quid from memory. Ebay is your friend and then the dealer for any bits you can't get.

Welcome to the Forum

A bit of a hassle fitting the OE wind deflector - have a search there are postings on it.

:driving:

Will post some pics, promise but don't collect the car until tomorrow morning :!:

Having a look around the forum & at some of the meets. It seems like an active forum so looking forward to getting out and about and doing some miles :driving:

Welcome to the forum Steve, I got my deflector from ebay and fitting kit from the dealer, total spend £120 but I have to admit I haven't fitted it yet 'cos I'm scared of drilling through the hoops! Not nagging but...well you know, get the pics uploaded!

Welcome Steve from a fellow West Sussex newbie, who also has yet to post pictures. I promised myself I would take the pics today, but every time I was ready it was raining.

Enjoy the Z4 and remember to wave at others you see!

Hiya ! Welcome to the forum.... I have a 2004 Roadster -55k absolutely love it ! ..... Just one point I personally don't think the wind deflector makes that much difference...... Ok it stops some of the "swirling" air at high speed but to be honest unless your tanking it down the motorway........ The air flow is pretty good
I love the air rushing over my bald spot !

Hi All,

Thanks for all your to everyone for all your help and welcome messages yesterday, greatly appreciated.

I collected my Zed today, a 3.0 SE in Sapphire Black, 35k genuine miles, with electric memory & heated seats, headlamp wash, reverse parking sensors etc etc. I've done about 50 miles all hood down and am really impressed. Took time out this afternoon to clear the hood drains as per all the helpful suggestions and couldn't believe all the crap that came out! Also had a look at brake pads and discs which probably only have about 4 thousand odd miles on them. Rear springs have obviously been replaced as look brand new.
Couple of odd jobs to complete over the next couple of weeks then intend wheel refurb over the winter to coincide with the replacement of run flats and probably the discs/pads at the same time.

Hopefully if I have sussed the system I will attach a couple of pictures with this post!!
